Deuteronomy 1:20-22

²⁰ I said to you, “You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is giving us. ²¹ Look now, the Lord your God has given you the land ahead of you. Go up, take possession of it, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has said to you. Do not be afraid and do not be overwhelmed.”

²² Then all of you approached me and said, “Let us send out some of our men so that they can scout the land for us and bring us a report about the route that we should take and the cities that we will reach.”
